About
Independent, data-first sports prop analysis
No paywall, no touts, no guaranteed locks. Just a number for every prop and the reasoning behind it.
What PropProphet is
PropProphet covers player props at scale across the sports we support — projections, historical hit rates, and matchup context for every regular player, all season long. We’re live now with MLB(its season is in full swing) and add new leagues as their seasons start, using the same template. Most prop content is either locked behind a paywall, limited to a handful of stars, or thin SEO filler. We’re building the page we’d want to land on for any player: the line, our projection, the edge, and the data that supports it.
How it’s made
PropProphet is produced by a small team working alongside AI tooling. Models and automated agents do the heavy lifting — pulling data, computing projections, and drafting analysis — and every published page is checked against its source data before it goes live. The goal is scale without sacrificing accuracy: a stat on the page should always be traceable to the data behind it.
Where the data comes from
We use official, open data for each sport. MLB statistics come from the MLB Stats API; NFL statistics (when its season is live) come from nflverse (the nflfastR / nflreadr ecosystem). Market lines and odds across all sports come from The Odds API. Our methodology page explains how we turn that into projections and edges.
What we won’t do
- — No “guaranteed wins” or “locks.” Every projection carries variance, and we say so.
- — No paywall on analysis or tools.
- — No promotion of illegal or offshore operators.
PropProphet is an independent project and is not affiliated with any league, team, sportsbook, or DFS operator. Betting involves risk; treat it as entertainment. See our responsible gambling page.
